The result is a compact, reliable form factor that supports intuitive, always-available AI access for users on the move.

Produce Extender

This quick-turn prototype was built to test produce preservation in a controlled fridge environment. We designed and fabricated a custom cold plate vapor compression system, integrating full data logging to precisely monitor and control temperature and humidity. The test chamber allowed for accurate evaluation of how different conditions impact shelf life, providing critical data to guide future development.

A MATTER OF AIR

A Matter of Air was a fast-turnaround art installation designed and assembled in just a few days. Using 42 LED strings to represent New York City neighborhoods, we visualized data from the NYC Community Air Survey, mapping fine particulate pollution, health outcomes, and income levels. Each LED represented a year of data, with pink and blue indicating Hot and Cold Spots. An interactive panel let the audience dive deeper into the insights. The project revealed a striking pattern: while air quality is improving overall, lower-income areas like the South Bronx still face far worse health impacts than wealthier neighborhoods with similar pollution levels.

RED LIGHT

For Aescape’s robotic massage platform, we explored the integration of red light therapy to enhance therapeutic benefits. Within a month, we developed a custom PCB, designed and cast the enclosure, and performed in-house thermal analysis and spectrometry to evaluate optical and thermal performance. This rapid development cycle enabled the client to quickly assess feasibility and refine their product roadmap with confidence.

Love Rope

This playful, entry-level bondage device was designed to balance approachability with bold aesthetics. We developed a range of renderings to explore form and texture, then sourced professionally molded silicone samples from overseas to refine the feel and function. The result is a product that’s both visually striking and comfortable to use, successfully bridging fun and functionality.

USB

Tasked with housing a full terabyte of storage in a sleek form factor, we designed the enclosure for this dual-sided USB drive through multiple iterations and detailed renderings. Working closely with the client, we refined each prototype to align with their vision of a clean, modern device that balances function and visual appeal. The final result is both compact and striking, delivering high-capacity performance in a premium industrial design.

1 Week Split-System

Starting from a simple sketch provided by the client, we rapidly brought this compact split air conditioning system to life. It is powered by the world’s smallest DC-driven compressors and uses pure propane refrigerant. Within a week, we completed the full mechanical and electrical design, fabricated every component, assembled the unit along with a custom shipping crate, and sent it overnight across the country. The client successfully installed it for a high-stakes investor demo at UC Berkeley just days later.

Laser Methane Scanner

Initially intended for robotic implementation, such as those found on Boston Dynamics' renowned 'Spot'. We seized the opportunity to reshape this technology, seamlessly integrating it into a handheld device with remarkable proficiency. Mirroring the speed of light that our sensor operates at, our creation process was swift. The entire cycle, from the design stage to the manufacture of a fully functional prototype, was executed within a mere week of our inaugural client meeting.
